How to grab attention without making a scene

Have you ever walked into a room and become so intrigued by someone? I mean so intrigued that you just cannot stop staring at a person — and not just because they are gorgeous. They capture you with their energy, the way they speak, the way they can “work” a room by getting everyone’s attention. Not sexualized attention, but the attention that commands respect. Women like this don't just wake up one day and “have it all together.” They have a very intentional approach to their daily habits that prepares them to captivate anyone who comes in their path.

Have a Hobby

You need to DO something interesting TO BE INTERESTING. Painting, learning a new language, pilates, cooking, philanthropy work. Going to work (or logging on from home) and watching television every day is not going to make people want to learn more about you. If you're on a first date with someone you are interested in, you will stand out by having a good answer when they ask you What do you do for fun? or What do you do in your spare time? The same goes for a work or social setting. In marketing, I tell my clients the key to elevating above saturated markets is to stand out by having strong USPs - unique selling points. What is yours?

Identify a Signature Look

Zendaya has the Christian Louboutin So Kate. Anna Wintour has her bangs and dark sunglasses. Tracee Ellis Ross has her voluminous curls and Ruby Woo lipstick. All these women have personal yet detailed signatures that make them go from beautiful to eye-catching. Practice a Disciplined Routine

Interesting women have more boundaries in their personal life than the average person. For me, my 5-9 routine is more structured (and important) than my 9-5 workday. When you begin setting non-negotiables in one area of your life, the same sense of discipline naturally moves in other areas of your life. These non-negotiables turn into boundaries, and boundaries set standards. There is nothing more attractive than a woman with standards.
